Important Message from the Executive Director
As we enter this season of gratitude, I wish to thank you for your support of Mountain Parks Foundation’s work over the past four decades. Together, we’ve helped protect the natural and cultural legacy of Big Basin Redwoods and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Parks by inspiring and educating millions of visitors annually. Your support has meant the world to us and to our precious parks – together we are making a real difference!
Did you know that your contributions this year helped offer thousands of young visitors up-close and personal encounters with our local state parks and all of the natural wonders they contain? With your support, we help make special experiences happen in some of California’s most iconic parks – experiences like naturalist-guided walks in the redwoods, panoramic views enhanced by descriptive signage in the sandhills of Henry Cowell, and magical hikes into Big Basin to spend an afternoon beside Berry Creek Falls.
This holiday season, I invite you to celebrate and renew your special connection to our parks by making a donation to Mountain Parks Foundation. Your gift will be used to continue our 40-year legacy of investing in educational experiences, inspiring protection of Big Basin and Henry Cowell, and connecting a new generation of park stewards to our mission.
Next year, Mountain Parks Foundation will be launching a capital campaign to renovate the Nature Lodge Museum in Big Basin, California’s oldest State Park. This much-needed renovation will transform the Museum from a community treasure into a best-in-class experience that will delight and engage a new generation of visitors. Stay tuned for more information about this exciting campaign!
With deep gratitude and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season,
See you in the park,
